I am God’s child.

According to Neil Anderson’s “steps to Freedom in Christ.” Once we are born again into the family of God by accepting the sacrifice of Christ for our sins, we are accepted. Unlike my upbringing where I often felt like a burden, in the family of God, my life, including the wounds of my past, have purpose. When the love of God heals us, we become a testimony of His grace. He loves us in spite of our past failures (sinfulness) and teaches us how to love others.

When I lay down to sleep and snuggle in my bed, I often think of the Lord tucking me in. As I pray and converse with Him, just as our young children like to converse with us before bed, I feel the real ness of His love, the comfort and peace of His presence. May you know, as a believer, you are accepted. You are God’s child. He will provide. He will show Him self strong on your behalf.

“Wherefore come out from among them, and, be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And I will be a Father unto you and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:18
