Watching the bulbs grow

Uncategorized Add comments

So the bulbs were supposed to bloom by Christmas according to the numerous articles I read. As of today one set has green shoots one inch in length, mind you bulbs can be taller than a foot, the other set is only centimeters long. At this rate it appears I may not see blooms until after spring.

Yet I will hope…

I do notice the shorter blooms have more dried brown leaves which seems more like protective shields they have to push through. What is meant in one season to protect, can hinder and prevent growth in another season. As tempted as I am to trim back what’s dead and in the way, I must let nature take its course and enjoy those blooms at a later time.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31
