“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105

When I ponder on light, I often think of the breaking of day, the sunlight beginning to pour upon the horizon, announcing to the world a new day has come. In the light of day we can see what is before us, the outdoor conditions that may be present and we adjust our manner of dress according. As a woman, with the Holy Spirit living inside of me, I need spiritual guidance. I can sense the difference of when I am operating in my flesh, verses the Holy Spirit and I prefer, am desperate for, the Holy Spirit to continually be present and active in and through me. The spiritual guidance I so desperately need is found in the Word of God. I spent countless nights awake in the prison. When I was at home, I was the first to bed and often last to awaken. Sleep was sweet to me, and in prison I had lost that luxury as well.  I remember one night as I looked out the tall and very narrow window, to the perimeter lights in the distance, I stared at the light in contrast to the darkness all around. As I continued to look upon the light, it seemed to expand. I heard the still small voice say, “The more you look to Me, the bigger I will become, just like this light.” Wow! How very true. The more of God’s Word I have consumed, the more the Word has become my living reality. I have hungered for it ever since. I long to find deeper meaning, knowledge and understanding of who God is, and am grateful we live in a country where the luxury of  His Word is readily assessable.

This is my prayer today according to the Word of God: “Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning: for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.” Psalm 143:8 Thank You Lord!

Jess, I think that what u have written is beautiful and I love the blog you started. It is inspiring and spiritually moving and it is so true that u know when your walking in the spirit or walking in the flesh. I walk to work every morning at 5am. It takes me 45 minutes to get there and in that time I talk to my God, and sing out loud praises. I have my iPod loaded with Christian songs. A couple of my favorites are the revelation song and I am not who I was. I just walk along singing to my God. It’s AWESOME! The sky is so beautiful and the stars lead me like the twinkle of God’s eyes, loving and bright.😇😊

There is nothing sweeter than uninterrupted communion with the Lord and the freedom to stretch those legs. Tomorrow on my day off I hope to take a long walk and fellowship with him. You are beautiful and He loves you beyond your comprehension! We have asl of eternity to watch it unfold!!
